Commercial port law
The firm is in a leading position in commercial port law and is an established point of reference for these institutions.
Massimiliano Grimaldi was called to participate as an expert in works of the elite committee set up within the 8th permanent commission of the senate for the reform of port legislation – law no. 84/1994 – (reform works of the port legislation in XVI legislature).
The firm provides advice and assistance to companies in the procedures for obtaining authorisations to carry out port services and port operations as well as for obtaining state property concessions of areas and docks for carrying out the above-mentioned port operations.
Advice and assistance to companies is also provided for procedures for the entrustment of technical-nautical services of towage, pilotage, mooring and boating services, as well as for procedures for the entrustment of services of general interest not coinciding with nor strictly linked to port operations (lighting service of common parts of the port; cleaning and depollution of stretches of water; water service; management of maritime stations and passenger support services; services common to the industrial sector and commercial sector of the port; information and telematic services).
The firm’s clientele is made up of navigation companies, port terminal operators, concessionary companies of technical-nautical services, contractors of general interest services pursuant to article 6 of law no. 84/1994, banks and public authorities.
