UAE, A NEW MARITIME LAW
Federal Decree by Law N. 43 of 2023 concerning Maritime Law (so-called the “2023 Maritime Law”) will entry into force this month. This Decree, which is composed of 369 articles and repeals Federal Law No. (26)of 1981 concerning the Maritime Commercial Law, gives rise to a notable change in maritime law and introduces substantial innovations that will have a significant impact on the maritime, legal and commercial sectors.
